You know you're a geocacher when....

If it's about geocaching -- Let's hear it

You know you're a geocacher when....

... you tell someone where you are based on proximity to nearby caches.

For instance.... phone conversation last week with a fellow cacher:

Me: I'm on 26th St headed back home
Cacher: Where is that?
Me: Umm.... I'm next to the front entrance of "DWP1", and in a few seconds, I'll be able to see the hiding spot for "Smokin." Yup, there it is :)

LOL.... had to share. The request for Golden Corral Coordinates made me think of that conversation. Yesterday I checked online before we went out to the Drive-thru Safari in Gentry to make sure I wouldn't be missing an easy geocache. :)

Geocachers are a special breed :) What stories do you have???

When I took my Fort Smith Caching Trip a couple months ago, a friend had asked if I would be available that day to take her home from work if her ride fell through. (She'd asked a day or two before the trip. lol) She finally got ahold of me on my cell around 10pm, as I was walking into a park for a quick cache. She was worried about me being out so late in the middle of a strange city in the middle of the night. lol I told her to relax, that I had my trekking pole and if anyone tried bothering me, I'd whack them into next week. LOL

I've only been caching for about two weeks now, but I admit that it's totally addicting. I've dreamt about caching two times in the last ten days... how sweet is that!

To me, the adventure and seeing new sights is what draws me to the game and it's such a pleasure to have so many caches in the NWA area to discover.... thanks to everyone who's done there share of hiding them, and look forward to meeting some of you folks in the future.

you know you are a geocacher when you name your dog 'cache' and feed it from an ammo can so it will 'get the idea'....

You know you are a cacher when you discover that you are addicted to camo duct tape and zip-ties. I have tons of both.
If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space.

*guilty* I have two bags of zip ties, and have never used any yet... I need to get my booty in gear. But I only have one roll of camo duct tape. I've used it more for helping repair/water proof ones I find though, lol.
