World Geo-Gathering Event

Postby *TnT* » Thu Jan 08, 2009 6:08 pm

The World Geo-Gathering will be held in Wyandotte OK (Just west of Neosho) on July 16-19 of this year.

They're trying hard to get mega-event status, and I think they might make it before all is said and done. But, because they don't have it yet, they can't post the event on geocaching.com until 3 months prior.

Here is their website

I got that email. If they can pull it together it should be awesome. We were thinking about going since their registration isn't bad at all.

That would be great. With my luck, I am going to get something else scheduled the week before it happens.

I signed up just so I could check everything out. It looks like I may just have to go to this one if they can get it all together.

I have been going to that park for the last ten years. My favoite is the D-Day paintball event they hold every June. At that event there are over 2000 players on each side. Best thing is that it is only just over an hour from my house. I'm definitely in for this one.

Well everyone its comming down to the wire, in a few hours I get to submit the event to the reviewers.

More info on this great event, the event coins artwork has been submitted and the die's are being made. I should be seeing the sample coin with in a couple weeks. To be honest I'm really excited. Registrations are starting to come in. We're still working on speakers for a couple of the timeslots. So if anyone has any ideas please email them to me at troyjpaulsen@gmail.com .

I also just got word that my pallet of ammo cans is currently sitting in Wyandotte in storage waiting for me. With help from the great folks at the Bunker we got a great deal on them, not as good as hoped, but it will still do. We're also working on many other sponsorships and donations for this event. With that it will make things happen.

We're planning on having a Pig Roast on Friday evening with all the sidedishes. And thats included with registration.

I'll try and stop by every so offen to give updates, but for more up to date in visit the website http://www.worldgeogathering.com
