If it's about geocaching -- Let's hear it

Who would be interested?

Postby Gruizzer » Mon Jan 19, 2009 8:38 pm

Every since TNT started these forums, Ive been wanting to find a way I could help out and contribute. I'm a bit of a webmaster in that I make web sites as a hobby. I know, how can you have other hobbies if your a Geo-Cacher? But I do!

Any way after I saw Paris1times post about who has a caching web site, ive been thinking about creating a Cachers Blog Hub. This would be a central hub where cachers could come and sign up and create their our blogs and talk about their adventures for all to read.

Now the hub would in no way replace the forums, but give those who want to maintain a blog and write about their adventures and post pictures a way to do that without having to buy a domain and setup a web site, which aint easy.

So that is what Id like to contribute to the group. But before I create the site, Id like to get some feedback and see how many would be interested in something like this? Specifically, if I build it will you come?

let me know what you think... and keep on caching!!

If you build it I will come
If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space.

That is a really great idea and we would definitely take part. :D I bet a lot of cachers would participate also.

Can you build a homepage for the group? I really think it would be cool to have a snazzy homepage with links to land management documents (i.e. state park permits) and to downloadable cache logs and such. I don't know anything about building something like that though.

Thanks for coming up with this idea and for offering to build it for the rest of us. :D

I will definitely come if you build it. There is no such thing as to much sharing of experiences, ideas, and tools. Great idea and great of you to make the offer.
