I looked into it at one point, but as you mentioned, when I saw that no one else was using it in the area I decided to not bother with. If others in the area made an effort to use, I certainly would to.

Besides no one else in the area using the utility, another reason I didn't start using it back when I first ran across it was because you have to email the creator to get a password approved to even use it. For some reason I thought that looked like too much effort at the time, but after looking at GCVote again today I decided to email the guy. Had a reply in less than 5 minutes and Ive started rating some caches.

I'd like to have cache ratings especially when traveling to new places. It would make it easy to know which ones to hunt and also which hides to shy away from.
