Sadly Geocaching will never be the same to me

If it's about geocaching -- Let's hear it

Sadly Geocaching will never be the same to me

When we posted for the Fash Mob - IV event, we added the twist to bring your four-legged caching buddys. This just another way we could share caching with our best friend. Sadly we won't be able to bring Tippy, our boarder collie. We had to send her to caching heaven. She had an infection and her kidneys stopped working.

It is hard on all of us because she went everywhere with us. She loved car rides so we would take her when we went caching. She would sniff out where people had been and a couple of times pointed us right to the cache.

Our youngest, Jordan "Cheerio", has taken it the hardest. In memory of Tippy we would still like for everyone attending to to bring their dog. If you were not sure you were going to go, we ask that you really try to attend with your furry friend. It would mean alot to us.

We're so sorry to hear about your loss and our whole family extends our sympathies. Losing such a cherished member of a family can be hard especially on the little ones. Tell Jordan we're so sorry to hear about Tippy.

Sorry to hear of your loss Mark. I hope that those who do have geo-pets do bring them. Looking forward to seeing you.

Gratefulldad I know how you and your family feels, I lost my black lab back in April, She was almost 15 yrs old and was with me almost every day. She had cancer of the kidney. She loved to go to work with me, ride on the four wheeler, and loved the pickup.
As she got older she could no longer get in the truck by herself. The last few years of her life I helped her in and out of the truck.
I have had 4 dogs that I have had to take to the vet for that final trip. It does not get any easier, but sometimes that is the only choice you have.
Tell Jordan that the CacheMates are very sorry that he lost his Best Friend Tippy. I saw this poem years ago and Jordan might like it. http://www.rainbowbridge.com/Poem.htm
Again we are sorry.
