Recent Weather Event

Postby teamjandt » Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:28 am

I hope every one escaped injury and damage this last week. That was some crazy rain. Looks like we'll be out this weekend checking on some of our caches to see what all needs replaced. We cached around KimberlIng City yesterday and I've never seen Table Rock that high. It was up to the bottom of the Bridge just south of Kimberly City. No doubt some of those around the lakes and creeks are probably MIA. Fishingfool..... if you see a large cammoed container washed up around Moutainburg it's probably our final stage from West Fork. Would you grab it for me? :D

I do hope everyone is safe and dry up towards NWA. This weather has been so crazy. An all the tornadoes have been so horrible. My prayers are with all the people who have lost loved ones.

On our farm North of Prairie Grove,we fared pretty well even though the Illnois River runs smack dab in the middle of it.
Some of the neighbors fared worse losing some livestock and such.

All we lost was about a mile of fence and our garden.

Small potato's when you look at the people of Alabama and Mississippi have endured and also our friends to the southern part of this great state.
It also appears the North Eastern part of the state will have flooding as well.

Material things can be replaced, losing family and friends would be horrific.

Let's hope the forecasted rains will vanish into rays of sunshine so people can get started putting things back in order.

Already in the 1st quarter of this year in our immediate area:
Deadly tornado
Record snowfall
Record cold
Record rainfall
Record flooding

Made it through the floods ok down here in Mountainburg. A bit waterlogged but it will dry out quickly! Sorry teamjandt, haven't seen any of your containers floating down the creek. Been out taking some pics. of the damage. Sure there are a lot of caches that will need some attention after the water gets back down to normal levels. Hope all my extended caching families are ok.

Hope all the NWA people have made it through the recent onslaught of severe weather without any damage or injuries. My area was missed with the exception of a few broken and uprooted trees.
