Who's hosting the next WWFM?

Postby Gratefulldad » Wed Aug 19, 2009 7:48 pm

I will be planning on having one here in St Louis. If no one is hosting one in NWA everyone is welcome to come up for mine and a day of caching.

Here is a Youtube of a previous one in St. Lou.

I'm running a quiz bowl even in Fort Smith at Southside that saturday.

There's a LOVELY Blue sculpture that has been put in front of our building....I dunno, it just screams 'flash mob' to me for 15 minutes in between rounds.

I can talk with CW if he'd approve a temp lifting of the no school caches since it's a school employee requesting it.

I'm not sure the school ban applies to events anyhow. The Clarksville event this year was held in a school cafeteria.

Still, better safe than sorry. I already sent CW a note just to be sure he knows it's coming. Besides, y'all really need to come see the...artwork. :)

Anyway, if you're planning on doing it 9-9-09, you need to get it submitted ASAP. It may already be too late, given the 3 week lead time!!

No, the next WWFM date is Nov. 10th.

The nearest 9-9-9 event I think is in St. Louis. but I'm teaching that day and can't go to it.

I've submitted the WWFM event. Chuck Walla allows it with permission from teh school officials.

I'm a teacher there.. :)

Plus I threw in my principal's permission as well. When it's accepted, I'll link it here.

Some info here.

I'm going to be also handing out a list of the nearest 20 caches, all within 2 miles of the flash mob site....give y'all something to do after the event.

There is also going to be a WWFM VI pathtag. I haven't ordered any yet, but I can. Is there any interest in getting them? If I can get close to 20 people who want em, then I'll order a bag of them.
