I use an Explorist 210, made especially for Geo-caching. I like it so far.

For whatever it's worth, this past year I went to the "Cacheville or Clarksville" event and they had an accuracy contest. Out of the top 10 most accurate units only one was a magellan, but then again how accurate do you have to be for geocaching? We use an E-Trex Legend from garmin and have been pretty satisified over all. We think having a basemap is very helpful. We would like to upgrade to something a little more fancy for some features that would just make life a little better. Like averaging points for when we hide caches, right now we do it manually and we would like street navigation for a little help and there is more but I'll spare you.

I use a Magellan eXplorist 500 which is made for geocaching. It allows you to load your geocaching data and they can appear on the screen as you navigate. It even tells you about the cache and will allow you to see the decrypted hint. I have had a few issues with it, but overall I like it.

I use an explorist 210 also and just love it. I've tested it against a Garmin 60csx and it performed as well and in tree cover much better. It's also rugged. I accidently left it on the top of my car and it fell off while I was diving down the highway :shock:

It got beat up but works just fine. I've heard that there is a durability issue with some of the Garmins. For all fellow Magellan enthusiasts, check out the new series coming out soon. Yeah, NG topo!

I have The Explorist 210 also. Overall It is a good unit. My only complaint is that it sometimes has a lag when I'm trying to input info or coord's. A real pain when you input the wrong Coord's. It is very waterproof. I accidently went swimming with it in my pocket, pulled it out, turned it on and it worked fine.

We just upgraded from a Garmin etrex Legend C to a Garmin GPS 60csx and so far so good. The screen is not as bright and I also put a screen protector on it so it made it even worse but overall we are satisfied with it. Finds sats quickly and doesn't lose them in heavy tree cover.

Debbie and I have Garmin Etrex Legend Cx's currently. We first started out with Magellan Meridian Golds and hated them. We returned the Magellans to the store and spent a bit more for Garmin Etrex Legends. About three months later the Cxs came out so we upgraded to them. They have served us well for about eighteen months now. We love them, especially their routing capabilities.

Of course the cacher in me is wanting a Garmin Map 60 or 76 Cx.

Garm Etrex Legend. I hate the serial port adapter to download gpx files. I can't believe that someone would create such a thing for such a modern device.

We also use the Etrex Legend. Since its such an old design, but still being sold, I wonder if the new ones have a USB cable?

Have a backup E-Trex legend.
Heck I have one from way back a Magellan Trackmaker.

And of course my first one the Magellan GPS 2000.
