For those of you who aren't premium members, Cardinal had a new cache listed today (GC198PK). In it, you had to list your favorite found cache that was listed in each year since geocaching started in 2000.

We had already fulfilled the requirements, but having work to do around the house, and figuring nobody else in the area had probably fulfilled them, we took a pass and figured we'd still be able to get the FTF another day.

Boy, were we wrong. One local cacher jumped in his car and drove all the way to Mountain Home to get "Gorilla Stash", the oldest active cache in AR -- placed in 2000. It seems he also had to find one that was placed in 2001 while he was there.

To make a longer story long, this dedicated (obsessed?) cacher, after logging a 300 mile round trip, got the FTF on this great (unique) cache.

Congratulations red ink!!!!

Congratulations red ink! That's a lot of miles. I'll have to look through our finds to see how many qualifying caches we've found.

Oh wow. That was a lot easier than going through our profile. Thanks Mike.
It seems we have all the years covered with the exception of 2000 of course. Bummer. There's no way we'll be making the 230 mile trip to Mountain Home anytime soon. Maybe one day. I wonder who will accept the challenge next?

I posted a note on the cache's log that we have already finished the requirements, but having other things to do, will wait until we're in the FAY area to actually log it.
