Poll: Consecutive caching days

Postby ARLT1YJ » Mon Jan 12, 2009 8:36 am

There are numerous ways to enjoy this game/hobby, and one I'm enjoying is going for a high number of consecutive caching days. Sort of an 'anti-power caching' strategy if you will. So I was wondering, what's everyone's highest consecutive caching days streak?

At one point last spring I went a stretch of 15 days straight, from 3/22/2008 to 4/5/2008. I found 140 caches during that period. Two of which were event caches. There is no way I am going to be able to do that again any time soon.

Interesting question. To find the answer, I had to run FindStatsGen.

In 4 years of caching, the longest consecutive streak of days with a "Found" has been 5. We must have been on vacation.

On the flip side, during the same 4 years, the longest we've gone without logging a "Found" has been 33 days, when we were packing up to move here from San Antonio.

That's awesome, Jaygill. I'm at 16-17 right now and would be surprised if I get to 100. But you've given me a goal!

The most consecutive days with a find that we've had were six. I kind of thought that number would have been bigger.

As of November 20th, I had 10 days consecutive with a find, and 15 days consecutive without a find.

4 consecutive days with a find and 32 consecutive days without a find because of a stint in the hospital with a staph infection that I got from a run away case of poison ivy that I got while geocaching

I had one run of 16 days and 1 of 17 days that I logged caches each day. Proably had some days onto that when I didn't find anything to log.
