NorthWest Arkansas Cachers

It's a long story but my Cache GC28ABZ has been arrested The mayor of Lincoln wants to ban all caches in our area. the city counsel just don't understand caching and are going to discuss it at the counsel meeting starting at 7pm November the 8 Th 2010. Is there anyone from the NWAC that would be willing to be at the meeting and represent caching? If so please e-mail me at david.justice@fayar.net or call 479-200-9546.

Though there's not that many caches in Lincoln, it would be horrible thing to see a blanket ban through any city. I'll be in Russelleville for my mother's B-day then, but I'd love to hear what a muggle discussion of geocaching sounds like.
Hope things get straightened out and people put down their pitch forks.

May also want to contact Arkgeo...they can help as well as they have had experience working with other cities who wanted to do the same thing. jffok has posted a copy of your note on that forum, and hopefully they can get a response back to you.

If I don't wind up scheduled to work, I will be at the council meeting. I hope several area geocachers show up in support of geocaching.

I had wanted to go but wound up on the night shift this week so couldn't. Maybe someone will post and let us know how the council meeting came out.

I also wanted to attend but had scheduling issues. I hope they had an open mind and all went well.
