Mad Pizza

Postby *TnT* » Fri Feb 12, 2010 8:22 pm

We called today to see about hosting a meet and greet there. But, they have a "non-refundable" reservation fee. Not a deposit, a "reservation fee". Well, we will not be holding an event (nor will we ever again eat) at Mad Pizza.

We'll be looking for another place to hold one. Any ideas?

If you're into pizza, have you thought of Jim's Razorback pizza? In the past, they have been cooperative with groups san deposits. Or what about a meeting place w/a potluck? Carroll Electric has a community room that is free to cooperative members. Just two ideas. Good luck, I'd love to attend such a gathering. Peace, Boxrunner52

Which Razorback Pizza are you talking about. The two I pass every day in Bentonville and Rogers don't have a meeting room or the like.

Why pizza? It has been our experience that a "Meet and Greet" works best when food is available. Pizza is liked by almost everyone and is relatively cheap. We've had some luck at CiCi's, and did have one once at Mad Pizza. We've also had good luck at Pizza Huts that had party rooms during their buffet hours.

It has also been our experience that possibly the worst place for a meet and greet is Western Sizzlin. The several we've gone to have incredibly overpriced under quality food. Golden Corral is better for quality, but still quite expensive.

As for the pot luck idea, that works well for what we'll call a "Real Event", but generally takes more in the line of planning, such as the "Dash for the Cache" event NWAC did last fall. We would like to continue on and do another NWAC event such as that and potluck would be a good idea. But, for a "Meet and Greet", which is very informal, a potluck would take too much coordination and planning.

So, who knows of a cheap restaurant that will let us use a meeting room for free -- lunchtime on a Sat or Sun is fine too, between Bentonville and Springdale?

Okay, the Jim's Razorback in Springdale and Fayetteville both have meeting rooms. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
