June FCC Cache List

June FCC Cache List

Postby *TnT* » Mon May 31, 2010 8:16 pm

We fully expect that some of these are un-findable, but at worst, the owners may be prodded to repair / replace, or all the DNFs may get them archived.

Good luck, everyone!!!

GCW00V – Wedington Trail Meets the Illinois River
GC16QW6 – The Luten Sisters
GC1GF5M Razorback Algebra Cache
GC13WYA Northwest Arkansas' Source of Drinking Water
GC1TTF2 Hart Cemetary
GC199EP Danger = Low Water Bridge + One Lane Road
GC1ANP0 Lewis Cemetary
GZ18DZM Midland Park
GC1KA9Q Wheelin1
GC18V8Q For Dad&Sis

This list is for the period June 1 to June 30.

Thanks for making these hyperlinks!

GCWOOV is worthy of it's 4.5 terrain rating, prepare yourself for a relatively long hike (as in bring a water bottle or two). I briefly looked for NWA's source of drinking water about a month ago, but didn't log a DNF since I didn't try real hard. Thanks for not including "The Blue and the Gray" out in Pea Ridge.

Despite tick season, I'm looking forward to getting out and trying these.

Maybe too challenging of a list?

Honestly, There's three down here I don't ever plan on getting anytime soon, one I've already been too that I don't ever get that way anymore (and won't this month), and one I KNOW is MIA. As for the one up north that I actually will go near....near the end of the month, I think I'll have time to snag it.

So if I get points this month, it will only be one cache. June is a VERY busy month for me, as is the first half of July.

If I have been to a cache once that is on the list, then I have to go back the 2nd time. If Yazzman for example hasn't done the cache then he only has to make the trip one time and he gets the same amount of points that I do. To me it has nothing to do with the caches being too challenging. I like doing challenges and contests but will probably sit this one out.

I wouldn't call the list too challenging, but like Ashallond I've got a lot of things going on this month.

Looks like we may have struck out with this version of the FCC. The intent was to make sure that caches in our area are findable. Since its generally the more difficult caches that are questionable, the list tends to be full of them.

It's just bad timing for me.

I DO plan to try to attack your micro mania when I spend a few days in late June up with the parents so they can have some "grandparent/child" time while the wife is at a conference in Co.

Jason, I'll send you a note to see if you want to skip a day of work to go run around town with me. :)

It's just been a bad time lately. Hurt my knee and having surgery on it. I'll try to get out more when I can.
