Ask your questions about GSAK, Cachemate and other Geocaching software

Postby OEnavigators » Wed Jan 21, 2009 4:35 pm

Okay, I have another GSAK question. When I sent the PQ to my Magellan it had the cache name, D/T, date last found, and the hint for each cache but when I upload to the Garmin that info isn't there. I really miss it since we rarely print off any cache pages anymore. Help.

I had problems getting Red Ink's handheld to do the paperless stuff my Nuvi does, when I borrowed it from him a couple times. I still have no idea how to get that particular GPS to do it. :(

Chris, try this macro:

http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=8932&st=0&#entry65990

It's for the 60CSx, but supposedly it'll work with any garmin cx, hcx, csx.

Alternatively, you can adjust your upload to show the D/T.

That's a neat looking macro but way more than I need. I just missed seeing the difficulty/terrain and the hint. Although with this GPSr's incredible accuracy it's not that important. How do you adjust your download?

Look at the GSAK help file on "Special Tags"

I use:
%drop2 %dif1a %ter1A

Which drops the GC, and adds difficulty and terrain
