Geoslump :-(

If it's about geocaching -- Let's hear it

Geoslump :-(

Postby Nicodemus3 » Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:46 am

I haven't found a geocache since Jan. 30th. My longest slump to date by almost 3 weeks. With the recent ice storms, work, pregnant wife, and lack of nearby caches (Fayetteville area) I haven't had the chance/drive to go seek any out. Anyone else seem to be in Geo-Hibernation? I'm going to force myself to at least find one this Saturday so that I don't go completely cache-less in the month of February (not that it really matters I know). Can't wait for the spring weather and more cache placements. I'm going to try to publish a few myself next month.

Once the roads were clear, Mrs Yoder and I bundled-up and went out caching in the snow on both of those snowy Saturdays and had a great time! Hope you are able to get out of your slump soon... :-)

Finally getting some days off work and then the weather has been bad on most of those. Went out for about half a day last Sat. and I am going to try to make an all day caching day tomorrow. This is the perfect time of year to gets some hikes in. Spring is on the way. Yea.

I was able to grab one on Sunday out in Osage on the way back from Harrison, Ar to make a grand total of 1 for the month of February. :-P I'm heading to Baltimore for a work conference on Friday for a week and will spend one day in DC so I plan to cache as much time I have possible there. I was actually a little disappointed looking at the cache saturation of Baltimore as compared to NWA.

Sorry Ash, seems my brain has been as lazy as I am, but I hope to start putting out a few non-trads after my trip.

I'm ready for some for deep woods caches too Red. I still have half of Lincoln lake left, but not much after that unless I want to drive a ways. I placed one out in North Wedington woods back in early Dec. that I've been waiting for a permit approval ever since. I've contacted the Forest rangers three times and they assure me each time they will get to it quickly :-/

Well speak of the devil!!! :-D I just got an email from them saying they just mailed the approved application. Maybe someone around here had a little leeway with them :D

The virtuals on the Washington Mall are excellent and will take up a good day of time. Also a bunch of benchmarks you can grab all over the place while youa re doing the virtuals.
