FCC Version 5 Rules

No, you're misunderstanding. Everyone can find the caches for the month and all will get the points. The idea is that the person who can find all 10 will have the advantage. Also, there are going to be some of them that I anticipate can't be found, but the DNF logs may prod the cache owner into doing maintenance, necessitating another trip to get the full points.

So one of the caches on the list I have found before. To get points, I need to go back to the cache, see it physically still there, post a note saying as such, and THEN I can post the points?

Just making sure I understand that part correct.

You're absolutely correct. The idea being that since most of the caches on the list haven't been found in close to a year, they might not still be there.

It looks like Ashallond has finally cleared up Rule #3. If I have this right --I must go back to a cache that I found a year ago, make sure it is still there, resign the log sheet (because that is the only way I can prove I went back the second time) and then post a note onto the cache listing stating I went back and found the cache again. Sounds like doing lazy cache owners maintainance to me.

Well, I had planned to snag the algebra cache yesterday, log it and steal this month as I was driving up north to see my parents and let the daughter have a few days of grandparent time, however when I got there the roads have turned into massive illegal dump sites, and I really didn't want to carry/escort a 2 year old through all of that.

So, I did honestly try, but decided against teh smiley that day.

Due to lack of interest, we're gonna pull the plug on this one.

I'm sorry you're pulling the plug! I think mostly it is the extreme heat we've had lately.

I was going to do the Wedington Cache this past weekend, took a nasty spill
and now wearing a leg cast, yet another knee surgery.

Hopefully some will get found.
