I'm contemplating a rule change and want everyone's feedback. If the change isn't made for this FCC, it WILL go int effect for the next one.

The primary purpose of the FCC is to show that a cache is available to be found. Now, currently the rules are such that the "found" clock resets once a find has been logged. The change is this: In the future, the clock will also reset when an "Owner Maintenance" or an "Enable Listing" has been logged. I don't think its totally fair to award someone for simply being in the right part of the country with some time off when a cache owner replaces a cache that has been disabled or missing for an extended period of time. I know of one cache that we found years ago that has been "temporarily disabled" for over two years. Under the current rules, if the CO drops a new container and enables the listing, someone would get over 24 points.

So, what do you think? Change it beginning in August, or wait until version 6?

I would vote to wait until version 6. I will do the challenge either way.

I will have to go with Judy on this one.

I know of one cache I can rack up almost 30 points on,
if I could get to it, barring a bad knee.

I could get to it on Polaris ranger, but that just ain't fair play.

To each his is own I reckon! Cardinal has a cache that has not been found for some time.
I could ride out ther and watch him replace it and sign the log, but it aint gonna happen!

let the rules ride as it is. Adjust it for next time.

It's obvious a few people did their homework really well this month, no harm in what they did, in fact I'm darn impressed.
