Easy caches around Rogers/ Bentonville?

Postby Penguin_ar » Mon Mar 30, 2009 5:35 pm

I am trying to find a few caches (to add to my total of one so far...) this week, so I feel more like a geocacher when I meet you all at the event this Saturday! So I am looking for some easy caches around here...

I know there is the difficulty/ terrain rating, but there are so many caches out there, and I am looking for ones that are not only easy to find (not too complicated hidden- I can't even find Silver Bullet by myself!), but also can be found during the day (low muggle factor), yet accessible with 13 months old twins in tow. And they should be in the Rogers/ Bentonville area, though on Wednesday we'll be going to the Ozark Botanical Gardens, so on the way from Rogers to there is also an option.

Suggestions?

Did a quick look and these are some that you should find meet the bill:

GCT3NX - Stumped (not sure about the muggles during the day)
GC895A - Son of the South (virtuals are usually fun and interesting)
GCNV74 - N. Bville Trail # 1 (easy walk along a paved trail - cache is just off the trail)
GC18W39 - Oh Give me a home (the folks inside know about this one)

The first three are in Bentonville, the other in Rogers.

Don't feel as if you need to be an experienced cacher to enjoy yourself at the event. We were all where you are once. All it takes is a desicre and experience.

Go for some of the micro mania ones, a lot of them you can park within a few feet of the cache :)

When you go to Springdale, try mine I-540 & 412 TB Hotel GC1KB6H you can park right in by it, and it's a different container than most.

Hey Penguin, look for me in the yard or stop by and I'll give you a clue to remembering silver bullet. You can actually see it without moving anything!
