I think Yazzman gets official FTF in this case if the Howlingmoon was with the owner when they placed it. I have tested caches for Vorp before they were posted and did not claim FTF. I even came back later and signed the log after some had already found it. You cant claim FTF if no one but you knows there is even a cache hidden. Come on.

The OWNERS told me to claim FTF. Get over it and go find something else to complain about. Geez.

I have been doing some research on other clubs. You may not believe this, we are not the first club to have this issue. While I have my opinions on what a find is, I will keep them to myself for the duration of this post.

I cannot find anything on honorary FTP. I can find quite a bit on Beta Testers. Some of those usually log after the first hunter finds. Some do not log at all. Some count the FTF.

If the owners of the cache want Howlingmoon to be FTF, it is their cache to do so. If Yazzman was the first hunter to find it, then an FTF published (FTFP) should.

Some cache owners put the FTFP designation on their logs.

Get over what? This the rant and rave forum. You obvious know you shouldnt claim a FTF for a cache no one knows about but you at the time, because your getting mad. I can have an opinion here.

I am getting mad because I am getting attacked for doing what the owners told me to do. Opinions are just like something everyone else has but, that doesn't mean they have to shove that down everyone elses' throats.

Ok, I was At Golden Corral last week. So I'm claiming FTF for the Eat and Greet. I can claim it 'cause it's been posted. Right?

Well, I cached all day and did not get one FTF.

I am not sure I would have claimed it , in the event I had found one, which I didn't.

Maybe next time jffok and I go caching all day again we will get some FTFs. (we would have if we had wanted to climb some mountains and traipse around in the woods in the bitter cold.)
But who gets to claim it if 2 people find it together???
The Cachettes have been with me when I placed some caches and I would have never thought to have let them claim FTF because they were with me, aaannndd, I would not let them sign the log until somebody else found it first. (kinda disheartening to think you were a first to find and see that somebody else signed the log before you because they were with the owner.) As a matter-a-fact I've even made them go search for my caches on their own if they weren't with me. Most of the time it's the thrill of the hunt. (unless you're looking for tnt06's "stick it to em" and you have been searching for over a half an hour and freezing cold and you have to call for help).
