Cache stats

First off.....Howdy! Glad to be here, although we haven't met any of you yet we've seen a lot of familiar names here. Funny how seeing names on log sheets over and over makes you feel like you already know someone. I need help with the software for your stats on GC.com. Our "My Finds" pocket query isn't loading and the error message says....

There was a site upgrade in early August 2010 that changed some profile sections. It's recommended that you review your profile settings and then do a fresh copy/paste of your profile's HTML code to your geocaching.com profile to make sure you have all the changed sections. If you don't do this, some sections may not update properly on geocaching.com. Thanks!

I guess what I'm asking is where is the html code found and where do you paste it to on your profile. I just think it would be kinda cool to see our stats in a little more detail. Thanks for your help.

What site/software are you trying to use for your stats? Are you using GSAK, or another program/site? Or, are you just trying to get your stats banner to show on this site?

I looked at that site, but didn't like it as much as GSAK. However, I'm assuming you're a premium member and therefore able to get pocket queries. Once you do, download it to your computer and then follow the prompts at mygeocachingprofile.com and upload it to that site. I did it a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty straitforward.

As for this site, if you can wait until we get home in a couple of days, I'll fix you up. I've kept saying that I'm going to do a tutorial on how to do it, but have been putting it off.

That being said...GSAK is WAY more sexier than that website. Might want to look at it and the things you can do....check out what my profile looks like.

Fixed your signature banner. Its now up to you to select which of the stats programs you like. GSAK and mygeocachingstats.com are only two of those available.

Thank you! Sorry I haven't replied in so long. Had a week of vacation and we've been playing catch up ever since. Thanks for doing that!

I finally got a chance to look at that website (GSAK) a couple nights ago. When I get some time I think I'll use that one. Do you also use GSAK quite a bit to play around with your pocket queries? I don't know that I would since it's so easy to filter the pocket queries on gc.com and then load them straight into my 450t. But then again I might reallly like it if I started messing around with it. I did check out your profile and we really do like the stats format.

i cache mainly with an iphone, and only use my GPSr if I am out in the woods, which I just manually enter those few, so that part I'm no help on.

If you really look at GSAK closely, you'll probably come to love it as much as I do. The filtering that it does is incredible. Make the little bit of filtering you can do with PQs look like kindergarten work.

For example, with GSAK, you can look for only caches of D4/T3.5, containing travel bugs, that have been found by ashallond, that have the word Christmas in the description, on a bearing between 211 and 228 degrees from any point you choose.

PQ filters can't even begin to approach that.
